PostSubject: Guild Rules   Tue May 06, 2008 10:08 am

We want to make being part of the Shadow Templars a fun experience for our memebers. Our rules are simple enough for everyone. We basically follow the golden rule, treat others how you'd like to be treated. We have no rules on chat, ie you can say what you want but please be respectful. Helpout a guildy if they ask, or if you cannot help, atleast say something. Little to no activity in guild chat makes it no fun for anyone. As far as raids go raid invites are going to go out based on the following:

1) class (obviously tanks and healers are a priority)
2) group calendar sign up
3) whether or not you're on time

Raiding

We are, for the most part, a weekend raiding guild. We do raid on the weekdays occasionally (on wednesday's or some friday nights). Everyone wanting to participate in the raid needs to have group calendar and indicate whether or not they wish to attend, and with what toon. When we do raid, we will expect everyone to come prepared, ie bring your pots, consumable, and reagents if you need them. I am an alchemist, so if you need something i'll gladly make it provided you bring the necessary mats. Also, make sure you're on time. IF you're not, we will pull standby's into your spot.

that's it as far as rules. just respect your fellow guild members.

Our guild rank is run by merits. Our current ranking is as follows:

Guild Master
Commander
General
Officer
Officer Alt
Member
Guild Alt
Initiate

Gaining ranks in the guild is easy, and all it requires is helping other guild members. The more you contribute to the growth of the guild, the more merits you shall earn. You can earn merits through donating items to the bank, or helping guildies with quests or in instances. Merits are earned as follows:

donating an item to the bank - 1 merit (depending on the quality of the item or the worth in gold, more merits could be awarded)
donating a stack of mats to the bank - 3 merits
helping a guildy with a quest - 2 merit
helping a guildy in an instance (NOT running someone through) - 3 merits

The more merits you obtain, the higher in rank you will go.

50 merits - member
250 merits - officer

The General rank can be obtained, but it will be based on merits, helpfulness in the guild, and the decision of the GM, Commander and other Generals. As you move up in rank, it will give you more access to thing ingame, like officer chat for instance and more access to guild vault. So get out there, and help some guildies!

If you do receive help, plz make a new post under the merits section w/who helped you and how, or send a message ingame to me or GP, or any general so merits can be awarded. This is the ONLY way ranks will be earned, so it's important to keep this information updated.group calendar
